Welcome to wuuf! Veterinary Care ("wuuf!," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at wuufvet.com and our veterinary telemedicine services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Our Services

wuuf! Veterinary Care provides telemedicine veterinary consultations through video appointments. Our services allow pet owners to connect with a licensed veterinarian for non-emergency consultations, follow-up care, and general pet health advice.

Important: Our telemedicine services are not a substitute for in-person emergency veterinary care. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency veterinary clinic immediately.

Our veterinarian is licensed to practice and prescribe medications in Virginia (VA), Florida (FL), New Jersey (NJ), Maryland (MD), and Washington DC. Prescription availability may vary based on your location and applicable state regulations.

2. Account Registration

To use our services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensuring all information provided is accurate and up-to-date

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services.

3. Appointment Recordings

Video consultations may be recorded for quality assurance, training purposes, and to maintain accurate medical records for your pet. By using our services, you consent to the recording of your appointments. These recordings are stored securely and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Audio Recording for Medical Notes

During video consultations, audio is automatically recorded to assist our veterinarian in generating accurate SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) medical notes for your pet's record. By using our telemedicine services, you consent to this audio recording. Important details:

• Purpose: Audio is used solely to transcribe the consultation and generate draft medical notes, which are reviewed and approved by our veterinarian before being added to your pet's record
• Retention: Audio recordings are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours after processing
• Security: Audio is stored with encryption during the brief retention period and is not shared with third parties except as necessary for transcription processing
• Access: You may request access to the finalized medical notes through your account at any time

4. Pricing and Payment

Our current pricing structure is as follows:

• Single Consultation: $75.00 per visit during standard hours (6:00 AM – 10:00 PM EST)
• After-Hours Surcharge: An additional $50.00 fee applies for appointments between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM EST
• wuuf! Pass (Annual Subscription): $300.00 per year, includes 6 consultations during normal business hours and 25% off additional visits ($56.25 per additional visit)

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

For wuuf! Pass Members:

• Cancellation Window: 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment
• Early Cancellation: Appointment not deducted; after-hours fees fully refunded
• Late Cancellation (First Time): One grace period per membership year; appointment not deducted
• Late Cancellation (After Grace Used): Appointment deducted from balance; no refund on after-hours fee
• No-Show: Appointment deducted; no grace period applies

For Non-Subscription Users:

• Cancellation Window: 2 hours before your scheduled appointment
• Early Cancellation: 100% credit ($75.00) for future appointment; after-hours surcharge not credited
• Late Cancellation: 50% credit ($37.50) for future appointment; 50% cancellation fee charged
• No-Show: No credit issued; full charge applies

Credits never expire and can be applied to future appointments. The after-hours surcharge ($50.00) is non-refundable once paid.

6. wuuf! Pass Subscription Terms

• Memberships are billed annually at $300.00 and automatically renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation does not provide a refund; benefits remain active until the end of your billing period
• Unused appointments do not roll over to the next membership year
• After-hours surcharges still apply to wuuf! Pass members

7. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS notifications, you agree to receive text messages from wuuf! Veterinary Care regarding your appointments and account. This includes:

• Appointment confirmations
• Appointment reminders (1 hour and 10 minutes before)
• Cancellation notifications
• Video consultation join links

Message Frequency: You may receive up to 5 messages per appointment.

Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

SMS messaging is provided for your convenience. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use our services, but you will need to check your email for appointment reminders.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm our staff or veterinarian
• Provide false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of our services
• Use our services on behalf of any third party without authorization

9. Intellectual Property

All content on wuufvet.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of wuuf! Veterinary Care or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Veterinary advice provided through our platform is based on the information you provide and the limitations of telemedicine.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, wuuf! Veterinary Care shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless wuuf! Veterinary Care, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
